After going through three sets of Timken hubs that each only lasted around 8 months, I finally decided to pull the trigger on the Dynatrac Free-Spin Hub Kit—and let me tell you, it was worth every penny.

Right after my third set started failing (passenger side was already on its way out), I knew I needed something better—especially before making a long trip to see family in Arkansas. That’s when I found this kit.

Big shoutout to Cory at Dynatrac—he got the kit shipped out the very next day after I placed the order. The install took me about 11 hours total, and it was straightforward. The quality is top-notch: everything is beefier, stronger, and clearly built to last. One of the best parts? If the bearings ever wear out, I can rebuild it in about an hour for just around $80 in parts—way better than dropping $500 on a whole new hub every time.

I’m still waiting on ball joints to complete the front-end refresh, but I couldn’t be happier with this kit. My only complaint (and it’s minor) is that the kit didn’t include printed instructions with pictures. I had some trouble opening the images in the PDF on my Mac, but that might’ve just been a compatibility issue.

Overall, this kit is a game-changer, and I 100% recommend it to anyone tired of replacing factory hubs. Huge thanks again to Cory and the team at Dynatrac for the fast service and great support!
