The Dynatrac ProRock 44™ for the 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL and the 2020 and current Jeep Gladiator JT has significantly stronger axle tubes and end forgings. This serious upgrade in strength and durability, along with the elimination of the Front-Axle Disconnect (FAD), provides JL and JT owners with the Confidence to Explore® and the ability to run tires up to 38-inches tall without fear.

The ProRock 44™ is a direct replacement housing for the Jeep JL front axle. It is available in two widths to match the stock axle widths in Sport/Sahara/Overland models, as well as the wider Rubicon model. This axle is significantly stronger than the factory Dana 44, addressing the critical areas that fail when larger tires are installed and the vehicle is used regularly off-road.

You may choose to purchase a ProRock 44 housing and add a locker, gears, and inner axle shafts yourself, or add options found in our configurator to receive an assembled ProRock 44. If you choose to do this, please note that the ProRock 44 for JL and JT uses Next-Gen JK 44 ring and pinion gear sets and lockers designed for the JK.

ProRock strength, no more FAD and 5 lug!

I have a JLU Sport S and have been wheeling it with a trussed D30 front axle for the last year and a half. I knew it was the weak link on my build and only a matter of time until it would break. I wanted and needed a stronger front axle. The ProRock44 is the perfect front axle for me - I added RCVs and an ARB air locker, and Yukon 4.88 gears. The added strength, clearance and even the fact that it's in 5 lug pattern so I don't have to change my wheels is perfect! It is a complete bolt on axle and has already taken a bit of a beating - and held up great!! That thick wall tubing really does give me the "confidence to explore" that I wanted.

Necessary upgrade for your JL or JT

About 8,000 miles in to my journey with the JL Wrangler we swapped out the weak 44 (with FAD) my JL Rubicon came with for one of these awesome units from Dynatrac. I've done over 20,000 miles with this axle through some of the toughest terrain the western United States offer. 2 trips to Moab, Colorado, ran through the Rubicon, and many trails in Southern California. This axle has taken some hits that I know would have had devastating consequences if I still had the front axle disconnect. Worth every penny!
